Clam Pizza

Mmmmmmmm....a little twist on your usual pizza toppings! This pizza crust is strewn with yummy clams, olive oil, garlic, oregano, bacon, roasted peppers and fresh mozzarella cheese. You've gotta try it, its like having your clam spaghetti on a pizza...minus the spaghetti....delish!

Clam Pizza

Ingredients:
Pizza dough
3 6.5 oz cans chopped or whole clams, juice drained
4-6 cloves garlic, chopped
olive oil
fresh mozzarella cheese
1 jar roasted peppers, thinly sliced
6-7 pieces bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 Tbl fresh oregano, chopped
red pepper flakes
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Roll out homemade or store bought pizza dough. Drizzle dough with olive oil and spread evenly around. Place thinly sliced fresh mozzarella around dough and sprinkle with clams, chopped garlic, roasted peppers, uncooked bacon pieces, and fresh oregano. Bake until crust is light brown, about 13-15 minutes depending on how large your pizza is and how thick you like your crust. Top with red pepper flakes and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
